JAES
Johnson Ambient Energy System

There are two ambient energy power scavengeing configurations. The first one, the Johnson Ambient Heat Engine (JAHE), is optimized for generating power from the daily ambient temperature fluctuations. Although it offers Carnot cycle operation, it uses a thermal mass as a stabilizing heat sink/source to create the required temperature difference. The second configuration, the Johnson Ambient Environment Engine (JAEE) is open to the environment and operates in a manner similar to a fuel cell. It is optimized for power generation from daily temperature, barometric pressure and humidity changes.
